Samoa

The Independent State of Samoa is an island country located about halfway between New Zealand and Hawaii in the South Pacific Ocean. It is made up of two large islands and several smaller isles, some of which are uninhabited. The main currency of Samoa is the Tala. Samoa’s economy is mostly based on agriculture but with a rapidly expanding tourism sector. Local government is currently in the works to deregulate the financial sector in hopes of spurring more foreign investment. It has a very flexible labor market and many foreign investors have seen this as a positive sign of Samoa’s future.
