Surrounded by Belgium, Germany, and France, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has the highest GDP per capita in the world (U.S. C.I.A. 2008). The official languages are Luxembourgish, French and German, in which all documents are published. Luxembourg is a member of the European Union and European Central Bank and therefore uses the Euro as its official currency. Luxembourg makes most of its vast income from banking. It is the 2nd largest investment and banking center in the world to the United States and has very low unemployment and inflation rate. Luxembourg experiences moderate growth in both its massive financial sector and its industrial sector which includes chemicals, rubber, and steel. (C.I.A. 2008)
